Bought some baseboard moulding with the exact "chatter" problem. Unbelievable that passed through to their customers - not with Alexandria Moulding.
Can you use it on a ceiling and when will it be available in 12 feet?
Will this work on at the interior of a manufactured home?
So my floor has a 1.5 inch drop by on a 16 ft run. It is an old house and cannot be corrected. In you cider you place the material flat on the floor. For me, by the time you get to the end you have that difference. Hiw do you suggest I cover this up with floor trim?
Measure the wall if you want a full piece on the top. Gap the 1st board so the boards on all walls are even and level to the floor. Finish with plain trim, then 3/4 to close inconsistencies.
As I have my own workshop, I like the idea of making my own from MDF which is easy enough as I have the machinery, however, even using much denser MDF which is better for mouldings, I still think you could tell, no matter what primer, endless sanding and as many coats as you want you can always tell unless it's been wrapped in a paintable vinyl or paper wrap. I'd like to try this but don't know which type to get. I'm not opening a factory, just the odd length or 2 here n there and in UK.
How did you paint the pre primed shiplap? I installed Lowes mdf shiplap and getting ready to paint it
Since most homes are not square, but the first piece andcope the second. It looks the same.
would you recommend this product with tiny homes? Worried about panels coming off during transport.
Hi jattwhiskey604, When installing shiplap to a home any movements in the structure can cause gaps in the shiplap over time. If you do install the shiplap to a home that will be transported there is no guarantee when moving the home the shiplap will stay in place.

why not start at the top?
Hi Torquemada X, When installing shiplap you can start at the bottom or top. Starting at the bottom does make it easier when you nail the pieces of shiplap to the wall to keep them from slipping.
What size Brad nails would you recommend? I have 2” Brad nails, I suspect those would be overkill.

I have a question and tried following the link but it didn't work. All I need to know is what is the top cap piece hat you used? I'm only doing 1/3 of my wall and I need the cap piece and looked all over Home Depot and couldn't find anything like that. Thanks!
Hi Cracr47, The piece installed at the top is our 1945A Ply Cap this piece does come in the different colours to match your rustic shiplap.

Not enough information, said 6" minimum at joints, but does it have to end on a stud? No mention how to finish at the top. Should you not measure the wall height first and have the option of cutting your first row first so you don't end up with a small strip on top where it is most noticeable?
Can I install this over kitchen cabinets where I will have no studs? Also, should I add adhesive to the back?
I'm assuming you will have to cut/trim the top board that meets with the ceiling?

Thanks for your comment. We are working on updating the website and fix any broken links. This product comes in 8' and 16' lengths. Any local Home Building Centre in your area that carries Alexandria Moulding products will have this in stock. You can also use our moulding sample to go service to get a sample of the product. we can then supply a list of local home building centres who you can purchase from.
The website is still horrific to navigate. Any search for shiplap comes up empty. I can't find anything on the site.
Can u use this in the bathroom walls ? Does it need special coating or water resistant coating ? Thx u
We don’t recommend using MDF products in the bathroom due to high levels of moisture. MDF tends to swell when it comes in contact with moisture.

En effet, ils n'ont pas prévu le coup :) Très bizarre, pour un guide d'installation... D'après moi, il faut installer les moulures de cadre de porte en premier ; impossible évidemment de les installer par dessus... Ensuite, on découpe le lambris pour qu'il fite entre les cadres (prévoir laisser 1/8 de pouce pour la dilatation, qu'un concurrent à écris sur son site. Je ne sais pas si ce produit le requière, par contre. Et on ne semble pas ici se préoccuper de répondre). Merci quant même pour le vidéo!
Every other video I watched shows installation from the top down. Seems dumb to me. Let gravity work FOR you not AGAINST you. Thanks!
But if you get to the top and only need 4 inches that shorter piece would look better on the bottom, no?
